Disagree. I don’t know why so many of the posters on this board believe that him narrowly winning in 2016 vs HRC and then being a terrible president means he has any shot at all at reelection. Particularly since just about every election held since solidifies my view that he’s fucked electorally.

Well, there’s the minor issue of the entire electoral college system being biased against Democrats. A better reading of the last election would be “even terrible Republicans have a good chance of winning”, rather than “it was a total fluke and is unlikely to happen again”.
Yea Pence is a glass of warm milk that no one likes. He can’t rile up the base like Trump and he’s a nutjob that wants to make gay conversion therapy legal.
If Trump dies in office, imagine all of the Democrats who will come out and “be forced” to say good things about him.
I’m fine with him dying. It’s not at all satisfying but it takes most of the long tail disaster outcomes off the table.
It’s not that Trump is a lock to win or anything, but at this point the GOP would be toast without him. Pence sucks and anyone new means the party is in disarray.

It’s already very unlikely that the people who need to be held accountable for everything that’s been going on ever will be. If Trump dies in office that probability approaches zero.
Who wins in 2020 won’t matter if nobody has to pay for what’s been done. If there is any hope for true justice and a last minute reprieve to keep us from hurtling off the cliff, this whole fiasco needs to play out to the bitter end.
