I don’t think it’s been adequately explained to people like that why they should at least maybe care. They think people are upset because he broke the “rules” and that this is just a gotcha the libs are using to get rid of a guy they hate. Like it’s a breach of decorum. I don’t think they understand that this was Trump putting his own, personal interests (power, wealth, Putin not releasing the peepee tape) above the interests of the United States. That he was advancing his own, personal agenda at the expense of America’s.
That’s a tough sell because it’s way more words than FAKE NEWS WITCH HUNT and they probably wouldn’t care anyway. But still.

These choads care 1000000x more about Trump defeating Biden or whoever the D nominee is than whatever interest the US has in protecting the Ukraine from Russia. They agree with what Trump did and doing whatever he can to own the libs is “in the best interests of the United States” in their minds, they just wish he didn’t get caught.
Same reason they didn’t give two shits about Trump conspiring with Russia as long as he wasn’t literally under the day to day control of Putin.
Nebulous American foreign policy objectives cannot hold a candle to massive domestic political power.

I mean it’s protecting Ukraine from Russia first. Then it’s protecting other former Soviet Republics from Russia if Ukraine falls. Then it’s protecting Europe from Russia if the others fall. If inroads are made in other former Soviet Republics we’re talking getting ready for WWIII. Maybe that’s what these people want, but we’re right now pretty close to the edge of WWII but without any appetite for war.
Putin is absolutely counting on zero push back from the U.S. What happened in Syria was pretty much the start. Everything Trump does to tear down this stuff is going to make the world infinitely more dangerous, which is why none of what he did is in the national security interest of the United States. The people who ignore that are fools (ldo). These are probably the same people who unironically posted pictures of Putin on a horse shirtless.
Putin probably masturbated to Nunes’ opening testimony on Wednesday. The GOP is doing exactly what he wants, while completely undermining Zelenskyy’s presidency and weakening the U.S.'s ‘place’ in the world as who can possibly trust anything the Trump administration does?
If you all in on AMERICA NUMBER ONE! and everyone you associate yourself with is as well, it’s hard to believe a PATRIOT that LOVES AMERICA such as DONALD J TRUMP may have nefarious thoughts and does not in fact care about America and only cares about himself.
