The Presidency of Donald J. Trump v5.0: ORANGE Gettin' PEACHed, Nation Goes PEANUT BUTTER & BANANAS

We already know he’s a flip flopper, so no one will accuse him of anything if he does. If he goes all the way up to the day of conviction in support, Trump can’t do anything to him.

Really? Noone’s gonna point out the hilarious use of proceeding instead of preceding? Not that it would surprise anyone that he doesn’t know the difference between the two.

Lol

Are you incapable of reading?

And just to put a finer point on this, Jeff Flake said that if a secret ballot were held he felt 30 senators would vote to convict based on conversations he’s had with people (some other person had said 20 who has a lot of connections to GOP, but Flake one upped the person). There are various reasons why people are on that list, but very particular types make it regardless of whether they will vote for it.

Ya man we are just one day of bombshell Sondland testimony away from completely flipping half the Senate. Isn’t that obvious?

To be fair the current timeline IS the sort of thing that probably should break some % of informed people’s brains. We’re super super far into the land of unlikely shit already having happened. I mean Donald fucking Trump is POTUS. If you’d told me that 10 years ago… I mean to say I wouldn’t have believed you is putting it mildly. I would have relentlessly mocked you and never let you live it down. You could have told me 9/11 was an inside job 1000% seriously and I would have treated you better, which is saying something. If you didn’t have the good sense to play it off as a joke what I did to you would probably qualify as emotional/intellectual abuse/bullying lol.

Things have gotten very very weird since the GOP decided to opt out of all norms when a black guy got elected president. It’s pretty obviously broken nunn’s brain that they aren’t going to admit defeat no matter how badly they get beaten, and that they simply aren’t going to do the right thing ever.

Because yeah obviously he’d have been impeached sometime in the first year if they were going to do it because they cared about their long term brand, morality, or the traditions that held the Republic together for 200+ years.

Dude your gotcha is that Jeff Flake shares your opinion?

Not enough LOLs in the world for this.

Absolutely never

I don’t disagree with this. I also think it’s just as likely for Murkowski to convict as it is for Manchin to acquit.

It’s exactly why going all in on Ukraine is so dumb and typical Dem bungling. Here is what is going to happen:

House votes to impeach.
Senate goes LOLno.
Trump spends the entirety of 2020 talking about how he vanquished the corrupt Dems.
None of the other myriad of Trump crimes are ever investigated.
2020 ends up being a toss up with the stakes being as high as possible.

vs. what they should have done:

A year investigating all of Trump’s crimes in public hearings.
Who cares if they vote to impeach/convict.
Trump and hopefully the GOP gets nuked in 2020.

Collins if we’re throwing non zero darts too

Manchin votes acquit, Sienma maybe too.

back to the war crime pardons

Many Americans have sought executive clemency for Lorance, including 124,000 people who have signed a petition to the White House, as well as several members of Congress, including Senators Bill Cassidy and John Kennedy, and Representatives Steve Scalise, Garret Graves, Duncan Hunter, Paul Gosar, Adam Kinzinger, Scott Perry, Brian Babin, Neal Dunn, Michael Waltz, Louie Gohmert, Daniel Webster, Steve King, Ralph Norman, Mark Meadows, Clay Higgins, Ralph Abraham, Mike Johnson, and Jody Hice.

Yes, what a great team to be on those guys.

Agree, I think my most likely outcome here is some combination of a Manchin acquit vote and a Mittens convict vote.

Nah, Collins is a definite acquit. Kavanaugh proved that.

Also Murkowski is a more reliable democratic vote on things that matter than Manchin.
