I would go with a red hat with white letters that said Donald Trump is a Racist Wannabe Dictator and I’d wave it around so it looked like a MAGA hat, then try to get him to put it on when he invited me up to the podium, at which point I’d say “Mr. President, come here, let everyone get a good look at that hat,” and drape my arm around him and say “Impeach this motherfucker. Alrighty, I’ll see myself out.”
Or I’d just stay home. I’d probably stay home.

I do. I’ve loved every iteration of the band, even the Augeri and Jeff Scott Soto days.
Now I don’t know that you personally need to care all that much about the band, but they made some of the most iconic songs in history. I can’t imagine it doesn’t add SOME measure of sadness to find out that the person we’re reviling is connected to some bad blood in Journey.

I hope this is just me being crazy but the far right hijacking the narrative around Epstein has me more worried in terms of 2020 than a lot of other things

If you completely lose the State Department career people, no one will do anything for you. They won’t carry out your plans, which will make him completely impotent. Pompeo’s heading for a very bad end, and it’s up to him how bad he wants it to get. He’s also starting to get bad press again that’s poking through the cycle, including a big expose yesterday in NYT describing what I listed above.
The funniest thing about him is that really the only reason he’s SOS is because he was doing off the books meetings with Kim before he was actually nominated, and it was leaked to the public. Once that leaked, the Senate felt they were stuck with him, though they probably would have rammed him through anyway (I can’t even remember if he had to have another confirmation hearing, because of some rule they were trying to use to skirt it with him). This guy was the head of the CIA and SOS. Those are two theoretically very conflicting jobs, and he’s worn the ‘serious’ hat at the CIA saying Russian interference happened, while at SOS he’s said it was Ukraine and not Russia while wearing his ‘jester’ hat.
I think his ego is too big to resign, but if you listen to what Pompeo sounded like before he got into these positions vs. his every interview is a deer in the headlights Klobuchar type wimpy voice you’ll see that he’s not having any fun. As the spotlight gets brighter on him, he might just want to walk away. He has no future in politics after this anyway. What’s he going to do go back to Kansas and run for Congress again? He’d become a senator, governor, or president right around the time hell freezes over before all this. What’s he expecting now? After this it’s going to be full grift for him once he’s gone, as I don’t think he actually has committed any criminal offenses we’re aware of yet.
