I get that people are dumb sheep but even accounting for people being stupid the televangelist shit tilts me to no end.
Like I understand being “Christian” to be part of a tribe and justify bigotry and make yourself feel better, it’s horrific and awful but at least it’s logical. But getting blatantly scammed and sending money to people like Paula White and Joel Osteen? I can’t comprehend it.

It’s probably similar to people who get catfished or other similar scams where at some point they realize they’re being scammed but if they admit it they’ll look stupid so they just keep on keeping on out of pride. This old lady on Dr. Phil is a great example:
During the entire episode they show her that the emails she’s been replying to are just generic scam emails you can find by Googling and she calls her step daughter a jealous bitch who needs to mind her own business, really tremendous television.

I’m also hearing many people are saying he hardly even knew Snodland. I think he maybe was photographed at a party with him once. He is often photographed at parties. The best parties.

I know we laugh at rubes that support Trump but good lord at least they aren’t millionaires willing to fall on the sword for him. I’ll never get over how wealthy people like Barr, Rudy, Sondland etc. are willing to commit crimes for this buffoon.
