So, he’s saying that no one should be convicted of murder due to an investigation that was started by someone calling into an anonymous tip line? The whistleblower is the equivalent of Crimestoppers.

I think it’s quite obvious the intel committee members for both houses know who the whistleblower is (even if they are only guessing on the name). The WB had to go to the committee for advice. It stands to reason that the person’s day to day involves it not looking odd that they were at the committee. Whoever this person is oversaw people.
this was during the trump rally. He said it to all trump supporters that they know who he is and they want the media to print his name so they can all shake his hand for being such a good patriot.
