Yeah it is really dumb to equate approval rating and vote share. There are obviously tons of republicans who will say they disapprove of Trump but will snap vote for him against literally any dem.
What was his approval rating state-by-state in October 2016?
I think this is key to understanding why polls like this shouldn’t be over-emphasized: they don’t provide insight regarding a particular opponent. If you have a settled nominee AND you have the data on that nominee’s approval then you might be able to glean something useful, and even then, maybe not
That one’s much more ambiguous
[the President] shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.
The Senate advised Obama to go fuck himself.
I generally agree, but I might quibble about “tons.” As a percentage of Republicans, the vast majority are going to approve no matter what. Also, I think it’s noteworthy that AZ is bluer than WI, MI, PA, NC, and FL.
Some sweet deals on Predictit if those numbers are true.

Taking “it’s always projection” to new levels.
Edit: my pony projects slowly
Yeah, that’s all great, but the actual words in the constitution mean exactly fuck-all to Mitch McConnell.
The senate trial is only happening if either:
A) GOP establishment wants Trump out
B) Trump himself wants it because he thinks an exoneration will make him look good
Otherwise, it won’t happen.
