I mean that letter is hilarious and pure trump but a world where america is a total and utter joke is far more dangerous than a world where american foreign policy is hated but respected. Also the coming chinese hegemony is going to have us all pining for the american empire for all its multitude faults.

In all seriousness guys the press aren’t any worse than they have ever been.
I think it’s just that the gap between their mealy-mouthed both-sidesing bullshit and reality is greater than it has ever been. But yeah, I’m certainly old enough to remember “enhanced interrogation techniques” and so forth.
Maybe not the press in general but NYT is definitely worse now
