Oh so is das3335!
Yup itās an alt right answer to Twitter when gab wonāt have you either. Amazing how much time they spend on Twitter though.
Only like 3 days of Congress left before election.
āWorking hard!ā
There are state laws governing the counting of ballots. I think it would be bad for a governor to unilaterally declare a different procedure or deadline. In most, if not all, cases, I would guess that your idea is strictly prohibited by state law or constitution.
What can be done legally depends on a state-by-state basis.
Is there any merit to calling Trumpās bet on voting? Like ask him what he wants the voting process to be in a particular state, or every state. If he wants to only allow on-site voting, then call him on it. Couldnāt an organized turn-out-the-vote (even in covidland) effort result in Trump being beaten on his own terms?
This seems like the right play to me too.
I have these all these same fears but am trying to maintain some semblance of hopefulness. On that end, one reality is that - come election time - it will be much harder for right-wingers to deny the reality and/or risk of COVID. Whatever mail-in-voting data we see now may not reflect the party breakdown by the time November rolls around. Itās not hard to imagine a decent number of olds staying home in the height of COVID/Flu season.
Iām probably just gonna vote in person at this point. Absolutely zero reason to believe my vote will be counted if I mail it in.
Solid article on the lady that trashed the mask rack at Target and then videoād herself getting arrested at home. Sheās bipolar and was big into groups about a great spiritual awakening about to happen, so easy jump to Qanon etc.
New York to Trump: Drop Dead
Besides obviously voting in person, what the hell can I do to try and stop the blatant election rigging that is about to happen?
The happy medium is to vote absentee and take your ballot to a non-mail dropbox way in advance (unless those actually end up getting mailed, anyway?). Of course, this is all dependent on if you actually have dropboxes in your area. I have one at my local government services building (police, fire, tag office, etc.).
I think we should all help get-out-the-vote efforts.
538 just posted a helpful guide to the state-by-state voting situation. Didnāt realize until reading it that New York will have early voting starting October 24.
Removing capital equipment like sorting machines and shelving is only sinister. There is no cost savings there.
Dumb question, but considering bazillions of people are going to vote early, this stupid thought popped into my head. This would apply to anyone, but Iāll use Biden as an example, since Iām voting for him. What if, say, I drop off my ballot for Biden a month early and then he dies between then and election day? Does my vote just automatically count for whoever is picked to replace him?
