If that poll that shows 75% of Dems are voting by mail and 75% of Republicans are voting in person holds true I expect Trump to lead almost every state on election night and then slowly lose his lead over the next few days while he explodes our democracy for good by claiming the election was fraudulent. Of course 40% of the country, the ones with the guns, will be all for it.
There is literally no outcome on election night besides a Biden landslide that doesnât result in complete chaos. Based on what we know now a Biden landslide result on the actual election night is nearly impossible because of how many Dems are voting by mail and the USPS fuckery.

Like this is taking a major toll on my mental health and we still have almost 3 months to go.
The sad reality is Trump can literally do whatever he wants because the mechanisms for stopping him (courts and congress) have both utterly and completely failed at the most critical possible moment.
Itâs going to get much worse. Barr hasnât even started whatever bullshit heâs got coming. He wonât hesitate to send federal troops to suppress the vote.
It is painfully obvious Trump will be winning on election night, will declare victory, will impede the counting of ballots and will try to get SCOTUS to declare him the winner as the counting continues.

This USPS shit, and possibly the bypassing of the CDC for COVID data, is clearly impeachable. Itâs unfortunate weâre fewer than 90 days to the election, as there is no way Dems would file articles at this point.
Whatâs unfortunate is that Republican senators are all* cowards.

There should be a concerted effort from the dem side to invalidate the election and not have it certified if Trump pulls all of this shit off. Then he will no longer be president on Inauguration Day while the country prepares for a new round of elections.
The dems need to have some real counter strategies. Can dem governors call in the national guard to run the postal service?
Can you imagine is these shenanigans were being done by a team where the nominal leader wasnât a totally demented freak who telegraphs every dirty trick they are trying to pull? The only reason thereâs even a chance of this not working is that trump is spelling out in giant scarlet letters exactly what they are intending. If it was good old norm respecting Ted Cruz pulling this garbage while totally denying it there wouldnât even be the tepid pushback we are seeing now. The DemE and media would rather see totalitarian republican rule than have to have a slightly awkward conversation at a hamptons party.

Can states with Dem governors declare they wonât count one vote until all the mail-ins have come in, and if so, does anybody have an opinion on whether that is a good idea? It does get around Trump declaring victory in the rust belt based on e-day totals.

Sometimes I wonder if maybe itâs the opposite, like the awful grammar in Nigerian email scams and the obvious absurdity of Q or that penny stock kid doing the pump and dump somebody mentioned yesterday. You need a certain type of stupidity for them to work and get the rubes on your side. Trump has an army of millions of fanatic morons backing him, but Cruz canât even get a voluntary hug from his own daughter.
Itâs like Menkenâs quote about never losing money by underestimating peoplesâ intelligence. Itâs only the dumb shit that seems to work out. The brilliant developments that have benefited humanity are outnumbered by the dumb shit that made people billionaires by like 100:1.
