This reminds me of something I read yesterday. There is basically only one Trump super pac (to make it clear who to donate to etc) and a little while back they spent like 14 million on an ad for Mike Pence. Trump wasn’t in it or mentioned even once. Trump and his staff got very upset.
Made me think that running ads for only the incumbent vp in election season has to be ridiculously rare. I could see if a home or adopted state were in play otherwise…
Yea it was certainly an interesting experience, which is the only reason I did it. I’ve flown to Florida countless times and have driven there a handful too, but had never taken a long train long distance. We flew home. If I were to take a train anywhere again it would be somewhere scenic out west or Europe.
I’m more upbeat than that about it, at least as far as myself. Seems like a quick and painless way to exit this shithole. I’m just worried they’ll torture us first.
My wife didn’t realize people still took trains until we saw one unload in Flagstaff, so when we did our PNW trip we took the train from Portland to Vancouver. It wasn’t particularly elegant and it got us into what seemed to be a weird part of the city late at night but all in all it was a pretty neat experience. We’ve flown quite a bit but I think I’d take a train if possible for any reasonable journey.
Also was feeling pretty good about things a few weeks ago but I’m now the dread is creeping back in and going to seriously prepare for possibly leaving the country by early next year.
