I agree with you. The positive is that these interviews are seen by a fraction of one percent of persuadable/swing voters.
People are idiots and vote on their personal situation. The country is in the toilet.

Except that everyone has seen this shit for four years. We know heās a good bullshitter. Heās bad at running the country. The vast majority of minds are already made up on this issue. I donāt see many who will be swayed by the debates.

I agree. His best chance is to tell a story of a big bad mean scary world that only he the strongman can protect scared white racists from.
He calls Beirut an attack, he says China sent the virus, he says the protesters are rioting terrorists.
If the pandemic gets better he could win big. If it doesnāt, shifting the narrative to that will be very difficult.
He can get his eroded base back and suppress some of the Dem vote with USPS shenanigans and other legal cheating.

I would agree its not over til its over. And its far from over. But he definitely needs to pull a rabbit out of his ass. I donāt see the debates being that moment. Weāre just in such a miserable place right now. Its hard for me to believe undecideds will pull the trigger for four more years.
Watched the interview, which is the first Trump interview Iāve watched in awhile, almost always just see the dumbest, undeniably stupid shit he says that the media picks out.
In a dumb fuck way I think Trump is right the that the media is out to get him. The media just picks out the dumbest shit he says in a speech/interview and hammers him on it. However, if you watch a full interview IN CONTEXT he espouses an air of masterful bullshittery that the dumbfucks absolutely adore.

Trump was good for ratings in 2016. So outlets like CNN and MSNBC covered his rallies wall-to-wall. They didnāt give nearly as much coverage to Hillaryās campaign. But the polls showed Hillary winning. So it seemed harmless enough. Then he won. I would say the media feels complicit and guilty about that. So are they out to get him? Hard to say that directly, but I think they donāt want to cover him the same way they did in 2016 in the hopes that they wonāt further destroy the country.

In my opinion, he was never going to lose while males who are inclined to support him. Those people are hopeless. Awvals the lot of them. But he is bleeding support among suburban women, and they arenāt coming back.
He obviously could still win, but itās going to take some kind of major external disruption or cheating on a scale currently thought to be impossible.

The āliberal mediaā just pulls the clip of the Trump clown 
getting in an awkward spot during the circus, play that on loop and say look at the silly clown. And Trump supporters are like yeah, but that happens in a circus, did you see the rest of the showā¦ IT WAS AWESOME!
Anyway, the only reason that Trump looked somewhat bad to his people in this particular Axios interview (and in general lately) is its not too funny to have a clown that clearly gives zero fucks about 150,000 people dying.

They donāt watch the rest of the show. A tiny fraction of Trump supporters follow what he says and does closely. There are almost no Trump supporters who watched or will watch that axios interview.

The bad news is that if the media are out to get Trump, their ideas about what is bad for Trump align with socially liberal establishment Democrat views of what is bad for Trump. This means that they are hostile towards anti-establishment because they think going too far left is counter-productive. The good news for Democratic electoral hopes is that the media are inclined to give Biden better spin on coverage because he confirms their biases.
