Interestingly among American Blacks the less religious you are the more likely you are to be Republican. Abortion as a conservative issue was mostly manufactured in white churches in the early 1900s. Churches are hotbeds of conformity.

Roe v Wade was a gift from heaven for Republicans. Their preferred battleground is in unsolvable culture war issues to distract from economic policies against the interest of their voters. They need just enough smoke screen on economics to get people not to focus on them particularly; the real numbers are motivated by the culture war issues.
Dems are forced to fight on these pitched battles because not doing so would concede to allowing gross, disastrous outcomes.
Granted, I think if Roe v Wade disappeared, or if the right to own rocket launchers were passed via constitutional amendment, these issues might go away but conversations would whip up other spurious BS to drive pseudo-ideological “debates.” There are a dozen such issues waiting in the wings.

Trump probably gonna talk about slowing down testing and opening schools while disregarding the victims. He’ll also be sure to talk about how Democrats can’t control their cities and so the federal government will.
Donald Trump and his adminstration cultivate the chaos that they stop with force. Makes it look like things are going to shit and that Donald is the only one who can stop it from getting worse.

Ah that’s more of a joke to show the outer limits. Like the stimulus checks with Trump’s name. Fuck Trump, but I still cashed it.
In reality I mean “vaccine released during his administration,” but I wouldn’t put it past him to label it the Trump Vaccine.
Its like testing for COVID. If you don’t count all the illegal immigrants, you won’t have as many illegal immigrants.
