I agree, though in talks to some of my semi-moderate Republican friends, they still say they’re voting for Trump. One says he doesn’t like Biden. The other says the stock market will crash if Biden is elected. It’s pretty mind-blowing. But I think the silver lining is that Trump won’t be getting as much of the “I just hate Hillary” vote. Biden elicits much less hatred.

We don’t have 3+ plus years of Trump as history. And he doesn’t have the lightening rod of Clinton - Biden is going to try and sell himself as a normal grandpa-type politician, and my argument is that grandpa can win just by not being Trump - which is a pretty low bar. But like I said, I’ve been wrong about a lot of stuff.

Every republican is going to invent a reason they can’t possibly ever vote for Biden and/or they will suddenly become single issue voters who have to vote for Trump. Biden’s a socialist war monger and Trump’s a businessman who will protect your right to own a gun. I don’t believe anyone who says they voted for Trump and won’t do so a second time.

Right. The narrative that suburban people “took a chance” on Trump, are now disgusted, and will vote for Joe is absolute bullshit. Biden wins by mobilizing turnout, period. It’s why the GOP strategy is all about voter suppression.

Yeah. But we don’t need Republicans. We need independents and high Democratic turnout. It’s really all about turnout. Not sure how good the ground game is, but turnout could still be high enough without it. By a nose.
Oh I agree - true believers gonna true believe. I’m just arguing that Biden doesn’t have to draw Trumpkins - he’s just got to get any reasonable of HRC voters to be Joe and not Hillary - I keep going back to the hopefully cited 11% over Trump. OTOH the dems are completely capable of fucking this up- add a crossdressing vegisexual to the ticket or something. We’ll see.

Biden isn’t universally despised the way Hillary was, and even she almost won. I think it’s legit possible there’s some kind of blowout win for the Dems in the cards.

I don’t think another Trump rape moves the needle.
Deleting his account would almost certainly help him politically, and would really help all those senate candidates who have to constantly answer for and defend his lunacy.

I agree - I noted that someone in Rubio’s office apparently got out word (as thing do) that he’s too busy to deal with Trumps nonsense and is pushing hard on working his campaign, which seems 1) smart and 2) important if he wants to keep is seat.
If Trumps wasn’t the dumbest turd of a president the biggest thing he could have done- Stay off Twitter. But he won’t/can’t - and the more things keep turning the way the are the better I like it (well, ignoring tens of thousands of people that Trump is responsible for having die, I guess)

I’ve wondered if Liz Warren might bring out more of the anti-Dem vote than Klob, Kamala, or a generic unknown like Maggie Hassan.
Republican Governor in MA too. Besides Klob’s other issues is her seat is losable. I would have thought both were non-starters.
Hassan is a bad VP pick. She won her Senate seat by a few hundred votes in 2016 iirc. Think it’s better than even money that a Republican, probably Kelly Ayotte, wins a special Senate election if Biden/Hassan win Pres/VP.
That said, I guess dumbass Massachusetters also like to elect the occasional Republican for statewide office, so I dunno how much safer Warren’s seat is.
