Protecting users against having posts deleted would have the Juan Valdezes of the world threatening the unstuckpoliticses of the world, but they won’t follow through with anything.

A factual description of modern conservatism is sure to offend. It is indefensible when said out loud. I wouldn’t feel safe expressing my opinions either, if my opinions were terrible.

I “use” Twitter in that I have an account that I follow people from my industry and a few politics people (ted lieu). It is by far a net negative for our world and wouldn’t be sad to see it gone in its current form.
I had a Facebook account in the late 2000s and quickly realized how obviously bad it is for everyone and deleted it 10 years ago.

I don’t have any social media accounts but thought Twitter really had something - mini-RSS - and RSS is awesome - virtually all my news (on anything) comes from here or my RSS reader.

Every social media product is fine to good when used for its correct purpose, but extremely toxic when used as a replacement for meaningful connection with real-life family/colleagues/community.
Facebook is good for sharing pictures of your children, twitter is good for following the news, instagram is good at promoting soul-devouring vanity, etc.
