The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: retweets WHITE POWER, condemns Black Lives Matter, regrets criminal justice reform

I think Trump uses it to be racist but when I was watching the protest by indigenous people before the Mt Rushmore rally the man speaking did refer to themselves as Indians a couple of times and I don’t think there is a consensus about whether that is okay or not in the indigenous community as far as I know

Maybe they should be referred to as Native Americans by everyone else?
Still moot whether dumbo POTUS is aware of that.

Yea this is the same one we talked about, not a clinical trial, just them looking back at everyone in their hospital over time. Also they excluded the 270 patients still in the hospital lol.

The hilarious part is Trump is half right. Deaths are down. But he’s too stupid to understand lag time. He’s probably filled with absolute rage right now and can’t understand why he’s doing poorly in polls.

Just about!

The name ‘Indian’ was given because Columbus ‘thought’ he was in the East Indies.

As a part Cherokee, I have railed against the usage of that word for decades. It’s simply factually incorrect and shouldn’t be used at all. White people using it are being intentionally or casually racist.

A ‘hip’ thing is using NDN, but I’m not behind that either.

It’s always so super weird to me that we have a sports ball team that’s straight-up called “The Redskins” and people actually try to pretend it’s not 1930’s-era racist bullshit. Like, wait, what?

On one hand I don’t like it when people die. On the other, I am anxiously awaiting the opportunity to dunk on everyone echoing his “deaths are down, we must reopen” message.

It think you’re going a bit far to call it casually racist. People can use the term Indian or American Indian without being racist or offensive. American Indian/Indian is widely used amongst tribes across the U.S., e.g., the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida, and there are important organizations that include the term, e.g., the National Congress of American Indians. Granted, everyone should approach the term with some awareness and and I’d use Native American as a default.

??? that wouldn’t even be enough. rappers say the n word. white comedians say the n word sometimes in their acts.

unless he says the words “i am a racist” there is no way to ever know.
