The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: retweets WHITE POWER, condemns Black Lives Matter, regrets criminal justice reform

I don’t know that Biden needs to do much more than stand back and watch Trump implode. He has true believers, but a non-zero amount of people hear what’s loudest. Trump had things like RECORD JOBS JOBS JOBS he could shout over other things people found distasteful. For conservatives, they’re fine with him saying atrocious things and being an atrocious human if he’s empowering their personal liberty. That’s just free market magic baby.

But now what? He’s shouting the same things but now they sound pitiful because they’re so obviously false. Most people are not delusional enough to believe a claim of record JOBS when they and their friends are unemployed and/or sick.

The only thing he has to to blast off about right now that is valid is his proud declaration of racism. Now yes, that connects with some LOUD bigots, but that’s not enough to win an election.

Well if I understood him correctly, here’s what I think he would say: Anyone who is with Trump is not a real Republican. The people who support Trump are mostly stupid. He is not one of them, but most former Republicans were. They were not actually real Republicans either, because if they were they couldn’t have supported Trump.

Like I said, I’ve never seen a better case of “It’s the other way” than this.

Lol @ well meaning. They just want to get back to the good old days of fueling tax cuts for the rich and fucking over the working class with the occasional dogwhistle. Trump has been a distraction from their goals.

When it comes to Republicans claiming they won’t vote Trump, they’re probably totally full of shit.

However, I’m not gonna shit on somebody for seeing that they were tricked. People get tricked all the time. They’re embarrassed and wish they didn’t let themselves get deceived. You should be grateful that your friend came to that conclusion himself and hopefully you can encourage him to vote Biden or at least discourage him from voting Trump.

Last I heard, he actually gave money to Pete and he’d snap vote for any D over Trump except for Bernie. So, I think there’s not much work to do there. I think if it came down to Bernie vs Trump, he’s just sit it out. He’s in a safe D state, so it’s all kind of moot.

So apparently Trump is having a rally in Portsmouth, New Hampshire next weekend. The entire seacoast is pretty much true blue and Hillary won 70% of Portsmouth in 2016 so I’m confused as to his angle.

Both of my uncles pulled the level for Trump 2016 and are fully off board and support BLM. Like they don’t want to defund the police or anything and think we just need better leadership to make officers accountable but they still think there needs to be change. Both college educated and make like 150k+ a year.

Even if Republicans haven’t won New Hampshire since 2000, Hillary won it by less than 3,000 votes. I’m not sure if it being a place where he can do a rally where masks are only encouraged and not required is a factor.

Yeah, I get that he’s campaigning in New Hampshire. But Portsmouth is not the city I expected him to do it in.

At least I don’t drink on Sunday.

“Locally, Democrats will hold all five seats on the Delaware County Council, a Republican stronghold since the Civil War, and also assumed a majority on the legislative body in Chester County. In Bucks County, Democrats captured the Board of Commissioners for the first time since 1983.”

I’ve shared this before- I’m in a very nice zip code in Delaware county PA—the lady handing out the sample Republican ballots outside was saying “don’t worry it won’t burn your fingers” after a day of people giving her nothing but dirty looks and snide comments. She was literally shell shocked and trying to laugh it off by late afternoon.

Something unusual has to happen for Trump to have a chance. Sadly that happened in 2016 so the goal is to run up the score and the Dems need to be prepared to be in court all day November 3 to guarantee access.

I think logistics are a strong concern. It’s possible that Portsmouth has the only airport in NH with a runway long enough to accommodate Air Force One.

Makes sense. Largest airport is in Portsmouth.

Regardless, he’s gonna have a bad time. My wife’s aunts have already bought tickets to go down to protest.

He’s flown into MHT on Air Force One.

Bigger than Manchester?

I mean name another “city” in NH. Even Portsmouth is just a nice large coastal town. Though it is quite liberal. Not as much as say Portland, ME is just to the north, but still not sure why he’d go there at all.

But I guess the airport thing makes sense.

Unrelated, if I were king of the US one of my first actions would be to completely redraw the map. All of New England would become Massachusetts with the exception of Fairfield County in CT- that can go to NY. All of the flyover states would just be “Farmland USA”. Among others - Indiana Illinois become one. MS and AL combined. Create the state of Pennsyltucky with Ohio. Texas could stay Texas as would California. Only one Virgina and one Carolina. And I’d Bugs Bunny Florida off obv.

Grunching and to follow up, DDale calls this tendency for Trump to overstate a number and then continue to raise it as “Trumpflation”.

As a tool to drive Trump insane, yeah, I’d love to decide to torture Trump every day until election day. I’m not in any way for Mike, except for the “enemy of my friend is my enemy” - but if he gives Trump a stroke or keeps on stepping on his dick, good for him
