Trump’s complete lack of any kind of consistent message is encouraging. There’s no “Build the wall!” or “Lock her up!” this time around.

It sort of depends. Will he make another gaff? I think it is pretty likely. He is pretty prone to them. It’s hard to imagine how massive that gaff would have to be to counter Trump. I’d say it’s not likely he can gaff bad enough to make a difference but it’s certainly possible.
The people on the left and right who hate him aren’t changing their mind, gaff or no gaff.
