Thanks to John Roberts of all people states have pretty wide latitude in running elections. This cuts both ways, obviously.
I am pretty worried about the election rigging that is likely. I think I might be more worried about Trump doing something completely insane in the next few months as it becomes obvious he is going to lose.

I mean, when the duly appointed and Senate confirmed Attorney General gets a warrant from a duly appointed and Senate confirmed federal judge and then sends the Federal Bureau of Investigations to go take the ballots/machines/whatever by force, if necessary, what is the state going to do? Lock the doors and hide in the basement? Order the police, who love Trump, to engage in a standoff with the FBI?
Democrats should be calling for UN election monitors.
I’m more worried about the rigging. The time when I’m worried about him doing something completely insane, like nuking San Francisco, is the lame duck period if we manage to fade all the rigging. His people will just teach him how Putin wins his elections all the time if he starts to freak out too much about the possibility of losing.
