I think it’s mostly that the GOP is a corrupt criminal enterprise. Between illegal money, shady business deals, sex stuff, etc…many (most?) know that they are tied to bad things and do not want to rock the boat for fear of being personally outed. Trump’s dirt is partially their dirt too (in regards to illegal campaign money), and everyone knows at least something and nobody knows exactly who knows what and how much. Best to just stick to the talking points and hope to ride it out. The Kasich types who speak out are probably among the most clean ones.
