The whistleblower should come out publicly as a giant fuck you to Trump. Just hold a press conference and answer questions. Then if Congress wants the person under oath, that’s ok.

Yeah, this. I think there was discussion in '16 about FOX’s about-face, and a huge part of it was the tail wagging the dog. FOX dipped their toe in the anti-Trump waters and their viewers revolted. Their inbox was flooded by deplorables at the slightest criticism of Trump. A few prominent conservative columnists and radio hosts had their 25-year careers ended because the deplorasphere would not countenance the slightest negative coverage of Dear Leader

I hadn’t seen the earlier portion of this video, just the section where he asks her what she did to receive such an honor, which was frustrating enough. I cannot help but imagine him thinking, “She hasn’t done half the things I’ve done.”
His/her life would be in danger.
He can no longer say he never said it as he just said it.
