It looks like the state Department of Taxation is responsible for licensing and regulating retail marijuana businesses in Nevada, and their board members are appointed by the Governor, so signs point to then Nevada Attorney General and gubernatorial candidate Adam Laxalt taking foreign bribes.

It’s just going to keep getting worse. Maybe Nancy is right to just let these stories come out constantly for the next 14 months.

He lost his bid for re-election in 2018 to Democrat Colin Allred, a former professional NFL football player, ending his 21 year career in the U.S. House.

(But is running in another TX district in 2020.)

I guess all those guys claiming that they were preventing a bunch of bad stuff from inside the WH weren’t lying.

It took a little while (well, not really, see Comey firing) for Trump’s natural instincts (crime, crime, crime) to take over, but boy howdy, they are now in full bloom.

138 Reagan Administration officials were indicted, many of them put in jail. Nothing happen to him and his VP was elected president.

Does attorney client privilege protect the attorney from the client? If not what relevance is it?

It’s funny because they said it was routine whitehouse review that caused the delay. Freaking out long time employees don’t really support that.

Not going to lie of sessions gets in trouble in all this it would be a delightful side dish for this Texan.

Not at all, it’s the client’s privilege. The (comic sans) letter is crazy, among other things, for claiming that Parnas and Furman were agents (not clients) of Giuliani (and also agents of DiGenova and Toesing) who was working as an attorney (for Trump), and therefore are covered by the Trump-Giuliani attorney-client privilege (which privilege is owned by Trump). Now, this is crazy, among other things, because it assumes that Giuliani was acting as Trump’s personal attorney with respect to Ukraine, and not for himself or the US. And, of course, AC privilege does not apply to criminal conspiracies.

I feel, despite the recent competition from the WH counsel’s office, that Dowd’s letter may be the worst lawyer letter of all time. It basically puts a nice bow on the criminal conspiracy and destroys the bogus legal privilege it attempts (poorly) to assert.

In other words,

Like, how do you spin that two “members of Trump’s legal team” were arrested trying to flee the country on the eve of their testimony before Congress in Trump’s impeachment inquiry?
