Sondland is not a life long diplomat. He is a hotel developer who got a cushy ambassadorship to the EU because he gave $1 million to the Trump inaugural committee. Ukraine isn’t even in the EU, but Sondland was in on these negotiations b/c, amongst other reasons, Trump and Rudy trusted him to be involved. Doesn’t seem like the prime candidate to pull an, “eff you, I have a patriotic duty to testify and you can fire me if you don’t like it.”

“Or others”, maybe, but there is exactly 0 in a million chance that Sondland either has ethics or is genuine in his statement about wishing to testify to the House.
Democrats: accepting blatantly pretextual, bullshit bad faith explanations for why obvious political hacks can’t do the right thing even though they really really want to since absolutely forever. At some point you really start to question whether they’re losing on purpose.

In case anyone else was wondering what the hell he’s talking about, the Minneapolis PD chief instituted a new rule that cops can’t wear their uniforms at political events. The head of the officers union started selling shirts as a “protest”. The “radical left mayor” had nothing to do with the change as far as I can tell, Trump’s just mad at him for daring to ask for the money for rally security up front.

Yeah I think Trump still owes money in Odessa for that rally. Nobody should be extending Trump or his campaign credit if they ever want to be paid.

You don’t need the billionaires, though. You need to put pressure on the regular people. $100K is a lot for virtually anyone, and you could probably structure the inquiries in such a way to load up multiple $100k fines on someone.
