The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: ORANGE Gettin' PEACHed, Nation Goes BANANAS

Yea I guess for anything to happen, the Dems needed to clamp down on this from the get go and not say crap like concerned or troubled. Just pisses me off.

Iā€™m not above using lol poker analogies and my favorite is Dems are the weak tight nits on the early episodes of WPT. The point is they only use game strategies within the narrowly-explored space it had been played in their limited experience. That includes not just tactics but also adjusting to things like violations of ā€œnormsā€ that act sort of as unwritten quasi-rules. Thereā€™s more order and less entropy when the norms are followed. But then they brought on Gus Hansen 5-betting ten high and they were all too chickenshit to take a good flip. Some even chided his play pointing out how foolish he was as he raked all the chips they folded away. And that is the eulogy of the weak tight nit: slowly bled out hoping for things to normalize and finally made a stand after the maniac had 99% of the chips in play.

I can just imagine a Senator Howard Lederer writing a strongly-worded letter about freak and very weird dude Donald Trump as nothing happens but he himself is whisked away by his own petty money-laundering scandal. And in that bizarro universe heā€™s condescendingly known as Howard Letterer on these boards.

Nancyā€™s waiting for AA before she calls Trumpā€™s constant blind shoves because she wants the max equity but heā€™s just going to flop the nuts with whatever he has anyway.

Nancy is folding into the money for her backers. Itā€™s an ICM thing.

Nancyā€™s being staked by the same ones that are getting to play in the big game with tRUmp so if she upsets the apple cart she wonā€™t be able to fire anymore tournies.

Nancy folding into the money is the perfect analogy for this shitshow.

I tell ya its like seeing the live proā€™s play Internet poker for the 1st times. Trump is playing 1,000 hands an hour and Dems are like dam this timer sure does run down fast.

Trump is definitely the guy that berates the dealer for not dealing a 4 on the river when he holds an inside straight draw.

Iā€™ve brought this up numerous times. Trump getting away with it the first time makes him completely bulletproof in 2020. Like, say he cheats again and wins, can you imagine the uproar on the right if they start ANOTHER probe into it???

Like, having gotten away with it the first time, heā€™d have to be an absolute chump not to try it again in 2020. He KNOWS thereā€™s no risk of getting in trouble for it if he wins, and even if he loses he can pardon himself for it on the way out. His only challenge is keeping it to federal crimes and not state crimesā€¦ and even then, sorry guys, heā€™s never spending a day behind bars on state charges anyway.

You either hold him accountable for 2016 (and weā€™re basically in buzzer beater territory to do so) or you give him free reign to go for it in 2020 on an absurdly broad scale. Russia and Saudi Arabia to be sure, but like Ukraine is almost out of nowhere on this, and not the type of country weā€™d expect to align with him, but it doesnā€™t matterā€¦ Heā€™s the President of the United States of America.

He wields enormous power and leverage and could conceivably convince all but a handful of countries to do his bidding. Canada, France, Germany and Japan are the only ones Iā€™m extremely confident would turn him down.

I donā€™t see how this is Muellerā€™s fault in the slightest.

He did his job, issued a report and testified before Congress.

Any problems like this are 100% of the fault of those in Democratic leadership.

Have zero idea if this is a credible person.

Eh. Mueller is who we thought he was (an honest guy who would do the job he was asked to do, but still a Republican who was too chicken-shit and boot-licking to come out and say what needed to be said). While Muellerā€™s uselessness would be entirely moot if Dems werenā€™t a bunch of feckless weenies, I think things play out very differently in some alternate universe where Mueller actually attempts to indict the President instead of hiding behind bullshit opinions from two decades ago.

100% this.

For shits and giggles I asked my boomer coworker his thoughts on the whistleblower and he said itā€™s 100% made up because itā€™s anonymous. And he just saw a poll that 72% of Democrats are sick of all the investigations into Trump.
