The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: ORANGE Gettin' PEACHed, Nation Goes BANANAS

I believe I posted this on 2+2 and I think it’s what you are looking for:

Meet the Eastern European Mystery Donors Behind the Trump-Allied Super PAC

Global Energy Producers LLC is one of the biggest givers to America First Action. Figuring out where that money is coming from, however, is not easy.

I’m realizing that Citizens United was even worse than I thought. Apparently in addition to giving mega-corps and rich Americans vastly inflated influence in politics, it also opens up a giant backdoor for crooks and foreigners to get involved. Should I have been aware of this the whole time?

Please go all in on winning MN. Feel free to ignore MI, PA, and WI. You won them last time, I’m sure you will win them again next time. Try to run up the score.

Yeah like that was the entire point of it.

Obama mentioned it in a state of the union and Kennedy shook his head no.

That’s the thing that went away with no further charges as far as I know (probably killed by Barr). Cohen was pretty pissed that he was the only one who got wrapped up in this.

if he wins MN he wins WI too and then dems path narrows considerably. Glancing at it quickly, dems would have to win FL.

It is farcical supreme court ruling. A publicly owned corporation can have a foreign controlling interest and speak unlimitedly in our elections via a 501c3. There are very few limitations like that the politician whos 501c3 is asking for donations cannot be openly controlled by the politician. It encourages backdoor dealings and blatant corruption. The justices who voted for this are enemies of democracy.

I’ll freely admit to being ignorant about the scope of the badness. I’m also a bit surprised how quickly we got to this point. Although maybe I shouldn’t be since the decision was all the way back in 2010…

Just had to look this up, turns out it was Alito who shook his head. Amusingly that was enough to make Justice Roberts troubled. Seems quaint by modern standards.

Also found a PolitiFact article from then, declaring Obama’s statements about the decision “mostly false.” How well has this aged?

Until test cases proceed and further rulings are handed down, Obama’s claim about foreign campaign spending is a reasonable interpretation, and nothing more.

“Some people think that Kennedy’s opinion in Citizens United logically leads there,” said Robert Kelner, who chairs the election and political law practice group at the law firm Covington & Burling. “Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t. We don’t know for sure.”

Fast forward to 2018, they are called out for this and do they take the L?

Given what was known at the time, we disagree that we were “wrong” in our conclusion nine years ago.

Yeah I saw that earlier. It is absurd.

Someone should ask PolitiFact if they would say Obama was right. If so, then its hard to conclude they were “not wrong”. They were wrong under the current interpretation of what being wrong means.

Uh… move over “Reality Winner”, you have been supplanted by “Fraud Guarantee” as the most too absurd to be true name at this point in the simulation

This is batshit insane. Welcome to our new allies, Russia, Syria, Iran and sometimes Turkey.

Trump talking about all the economic sanctions or taking actions but can’t do this. He is full on Russian.

i really hope the next dem president just does the most blatent shit you could ever think of like owning a company that sells bottled air for $10,000 a piece or just buy a motel 6 in washington dc and charge $100,000 a night. i promise i won’t even care in the slightest. you can literally bribe the president completely 100% legally right now by just spending money on any of his businesses.

Hmm, a guy named O’Brien overseeing political purges on behalf of a totalitarian regime feels like something I’ve read about

If I wasn’t clear enough, PA, WI, and MI are all that really matter. It’s sad, but that is where we are at with the electoral college.

So when I say to Trump try to run up the score in Minnesota, its because that isn’t one of the three key states

If he can somehow win Minnesota
