on second thought I am really sure that is NOT the first use, I think the first time it was used literally two people (one of whom was definitely borodog, the second of whom might have been me but I don’t think so) posted pictures of ponies within seconds of each other in response to some third poster’s complaint about not getting free stuff

God knows there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid.

The original instance was two ACists, I thought it was Borodog and pvn, but maybe it was Nielsio or Tom Veil or one of the others with Borodog, both making the same joke about government handouts by posting a pic of a pony (government health care is one step away from free ponies for everyone, you see). YOUR PONY TOO SLOW was the response from the poster of the first pony to the poster of the second. It was first on the old forum so if the archives are lost, there’ll be no finding it.
