Every presser with Trump’s doctors should involve the press going “So hey, why do you think it was ethical to completely mislead the public about the health of the President?” With a follow-up of “Why should we believe any fucking thing you tell us?” They should all walk out if they can’t be assured that they’ll get semi-accurate information.

I’ve recommended this in the past, but it seems appropriate now. If you want the cliffs notes, the main theme is that there is zero value to the reader of covering press conferences where the administration is going to blatantly lie. They should all walk out and do real reporting and maybe let the inters cover press briefings.
We have pretty much zero clue what’s going on right now. Trump is being given three drugs that are normally only used in serious circumstances, two of them are still experimental. That seems bad but it could be a legitimate overabundance of caution given that he’s the president. He’s going back to the White House on Monday, but that’s sort of meaningless, they’re definitely sending doctors and medical equipment over there and monitoring him 24/7. It’s just an information black hole right now.

I think there is value in showing up and making them do the lying, but subsequently reporting the lies as fact is super irresponsible and lazy.

Do you guys not treat prophylactically? We start basically everyone with COVID on treatment-dose anticoagulation.
Ours is d dimer driven. If you have a d-dimer over 2k you get full ac. Otherwise you get prophylactic dosing, which is a lot less
Using experimental drugs which are usually only given under serious circumstances if he wasn’t doing very poorly is pretty much the opposite of an overabundance of caution.
