In 2015-16, Rhodes defended U.S. political and military backing of Saudi Arabia’s war in Yemen.[29] He later criticized Trump administration’s involvement in the Saudi Arabian-led intervention in Yemen.[30][29] He wrote of the war in Yemen, “Looking back, I wonder what we might have done differently, particularly if we’d somehow known that Obama was going to be succeeded by a President Trump.”[30]

i was thinking he was still doing that florida rally, but google tells me he cancelled his plans for this weekened i guess, thats a shame

He’s supposed to do a rally tomorrow - if he gets through an hour and looks mostly healthy then I think he’s officially out of the woods.

I’m an actuary so we put FSA or, in my case FCIA, after our names. Some professional services we deliver actually have to be approved by a licensed actuary.

But I don’t put my other stuff (BSc or MSc in my case).

I am all for Strippers in Congress.

I feel like it was him and one of his brothers that owned the casino featured in the “reality” show American Casino. Was on a long time ago and I enjoyed watching it. After a season or two, though, one of the execs featured on the show committed suicide and I think that pretty much ended it.

yeah i get that. everyone was wrong on virtually everything at one time. not excusing ben rhodes for that, but i don’t see another official with foreign policy focus who is gonna break up with both oil/gas execs and saudi arabia at the same time. even obama i guess.

I agree with anything Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and Judge Jeanie agree on.

Literally my own personal version of hell would be spending eternity in a room with those three.

Well I guess I have a bigger imagination than you because I do see a future where terrible things happen thanks to the far-removed consultant class and they are immediately removed from the levers of power as a result

There are plenty of people who would do better than him, he’s allowed to linger around like a malignant fart because of his association with golden boy obama. Fuck the both of them

I don’t know, how would you rate Ike’s self confidence. First on a normal scale, and secondly on a physician scale.

I think most doctors have a really high level of self confidence, but I think these doctors have abnormally low self confidence.

In grad school I never addressed anyone with a doctorate informally even if they were fine with it. I just felt like if you worked hard enough to earn one you deserved that small measure of respect. Idk, maybe that’s what led to my ultimate downfall.

My first psychology professor had a PhD in social psychology. First thing he told us was “Call me Steve. People use labels like Dr to manipulate others.”

I don’t think I’ve ever non-ironically addressed anyone as “doctor” in my life. (or “your honor” or “officer” or maybe even “sir” or “ma’am”)

My first year as a college professor, I asked all the students to call me by my first name. They wouldn’t do it. They needed that space between us. Eventually I got comfortable with it.

But they are waaaaaaay more likely to call a female professor “Mrs.”
