Disagree with this take. The goal is to get meat eaters to choose an alternative. If they like burgers, but want to help the environment, this is an excellent alternative. Using plant proteins to simulate meat, and hopefully to one day soon be able to produce meat like substances on a large scale, is going to be a huge boon for our society in the fight against climate change

pivot to a new derail, or are you making parallels between technologies? crispr wheat is relatively new and expensive, gun technology is very old and relatively cheap. regulation are necessary for both.

Yeah I don’t get this take at all. Why wouldn’t we simulate meat with meat substitutes? Meat is literally destroying the planet.
As for my preferred milk substitute, I choose oat milk. Tastes fine. I mean I’m not sitting there drinking glasses of milk like I’m a child in the 1980s anyways.
