Do you guys not treat prophylactically? We start basically everyone with COVID on treatment-dose anticoagulation.
Ours is d dimer driven. If you have a d-dimer over 2k you get full ac. Otherwise you get prophylactic dosing, which is a lot less
Using experimental drugs which are usually only given under serious circumstances if he wasn’t doing very poorly is pretty much the opposite of an overabundance of caution.

As I understand it, these have passed Phase II trials, so they should be safe. idk, none of this is normal, who knows what the rationale is behind giving him these drugs, and we’re not getting any straight answers from the press.

My guess is Trump is demanding they throw the kitchen sink at him and no one will say no because it will be worse for them if they deny him and something happens than if they give in and something happens. Either that or he’s sicker than we’ve been lead to believe.
Also he is not discharging tomorrow, he will stay at least long enough to finish a five day course of remdesivir and maybe longer.
