In the Washington Post piece giving the play by play from the officer’s perspective this stuck out to me
Kyle got the officers inside and closed the doors. He thought they were safe, that the Capitol doors and windows were fortified to withstand blows and bullets. He found out quickly they were not. Thirty seconds later, people outside had already bashed them open and were headed inside. Officers raced forward to confront the mob in the vestibule.
One, as an officer whose patrol area is like 5 square miles shouldn’t he know that?
And two, even though he didn’t, it’s a perfectly reasonable assumption because I made it too! I mean the most powerful nation on earth spending billions of defense and we don’t even have bullet proof and smash proof windows in the building that seats all the power?

Look, I know what it’s like to be super pissed that your candidate lost. Biden was NOT my choice to win the primary. But jfc, how hard is it to step back objectively and wonder why they lost something like 59 out of 60 court cases. Many judges (appointed by TRUMP himself!) wouldn’t even hear the case for lack of evidence. If they had any evidence whatsoever, where was it and why wouldn’t didn’t they present it? Lastly, if the Dems stole the election, how do they explain that they LOST house seats or that people McConnell retained theirs?
I agree it might not be in bad faith with some or even most of them. So I go back to my original statement. It’s what happens when stupid people who lack curiosity are lied to over and over again. Every politician who refuses to openly state that Biden is the rightful winner should face expulsion and Trump should face criminal charges for attempted insurrection imo

Yea I just immediately assumed it was bullshit, told him so, and moved on. I don’t waste my time refuting obvious bullshit with these people. You’ll twist yourself into a pretzel explaining it and then they just come back two seconds later with fresh bullshit like the first bullshit never happened at all.
This works like voting, you’re only supposed to count LEGAL deaths.
