Because preventing him from running again is a separate vote that only requires 50%, not 2/3. There were some lame clickbait headlines.
I mean judging by the QAnon crowd and how easily those ideas bleed into the general republican voting population (at least that is what the polling itt has shown to me) it could be some tv personality or even down to some weirdo blogger type who becomes popular (on whatever forum isn’t closed down between now and 2024) between now and next primaries.
I think it could go the other way in 2024. Instead of a bunch of garden-variety Republicans and one freakball, the field may be a bunch of freakballs and one or two mainstream Republicans. That would allow some like Ben Sasse or Nikki Haley to get some traction.

yeah no way Mitch pushes for this and then “lets” him off with a resignation, he wants the never-holds-public-office-again vote. Though honestly all this “news” in the last couple hours is all starting to sound very fanficcy right now and way out of the bounds of reality…

I’m going to say it doesn’t happen. Like it’s been revealed with the GOP connections as organizers, these rallies take a lot of planning from people with time and money, GOP operatives in this case, to rent buses etc. Those organizers will be gun shy this time especially since it’ll almost certainly mean violence.
I hope I’m right, but I could be wrong.

Theres a tension between the need to be located outside of the US and reach of governments and the need to be fast, especially for video and pictures.
Facebook, twitter etc will have servers and network points as close as possible to every user in the US.
I havent used telegram for a while, but i thought it was a fairly light weight tool, mainly for messaging.
I wonder if the secret service/FBI are using the tried and tested dodgy dossier/WMD tactic to rouse opposition against Trump.
