Yeah, when he was in maybe 3rd grade or something, my son happily said to me, “N-word-F-word-for-homosexuals.” (uncensored) I was taken aback. I immediately knew he had no idea what he was saying and that someone taught it to him at school like it was something funny to say. I didn’t get mad, but told him how bad those words were. He started crying, not because he was in trouble, but because he felt horrible about saying it.
He’s like that. He gets upset that he did something wrong, not that he gets in trouble for it.

Not sure if this has already been discussed, but what is preventing Trump from being indicted right now for inciting a riot/insurrection? To my knowledge, the only reason Mueller didn’t indict was because he didn’t “think” or wasn’t sure that a sitting president could be indicted, but it’s never been ruled upon by the Supreme court. What harm could come from giving it a shot?

You need to be very specific in what you say to ever get dinged for inciting a riot in the US. Free speech laws are pretty broad.
Wouldn’t it be better to provide a full explanation of why it’s wrong to use derogatory racist names rather than just tell them not to?

We used to use the N-word a lot on the playground - had no idea what it meant just that we weren’t supposed to say it. Then I moved to ~half black school in 3rd grade and that was the end of that.

I just can’t imagine that if you or I were to say something even on this forum that caused a riled up mob to take an action that could’ve gotten the president or VP killed, that there wouldn’t be a couple of g men in dark sunglasses showing up at our front door

The only thing I remember is using it with regards to knock on someone’s door and run away before they answered. This was before cable…
