The Presidency of Donald J. Trump, Episode XIV: T-minus 97 Hours

The GOP is not a conservative party now. Billionaires are a bunch of assholes like everyone else, but corporations with their boards and lawyers are conservative in every sense of the word. So, yeah, corporations are going to be pulling for the Romney candidate in 2024.

lol - That’s about accurate from what I’ve seen. My point was that it’s easier than you think (or harder to resist for some) to get caught up in the emotion. I saw some karen video about a woman being utterly shocked that she got maced. Forgetting her being oblivious to being a pampered white privileged person for a moment (had she been black, she could’ve been shot instead of maced), but she clearly wasn’t there to kidnap or do anyone harm

I don’t know who the three between Kelly and Mitt are (including the obscured woman, maybe Cheney) and the three after Geraldo are. Garrison should learn to label his cartoons.

You mean the one where she says she’s there for a revolution?

The woman actually said something like “I’m here to participate in the revolution” and was shocked she got maced forcing entry into the capitol. Who knows what somebody that delusional is capable of when getting caught up in the mob violence? Who knows what she’s capable of starting within the mob?

Revolution must have meant take selfies.

Corporations were pulling for the Romney candidates in 2016 tho. The top two were Trump & Cruz.

This kind of analysis just assumes Dems can’t influence the trend by passing popular stuff. This guy is super influential in eDem circles.

Corporations got nothing against Cruz. Trump benefited from there being 16 or 17 candidates and iirc only he and Herman Cain were anything out of the ordinary.

Except even that lady said dead seriously that she was there for the revolution… she may not have been there to do any dirty work herself but she was planning on being part of the mob that allowed the dirty work to get done…someone made the point that lynchings back in the day had a similarly jovial mood… only a handful of people did the lynching in that instance but the rest of the mob gave them the power and approval to proceed…seriously need to educate yourself about what is going on.

Cain was 2012. You’re thinking of Carson.

doesn’t matter, the opposing side thinks america is over if they don’t vote R vs oh trump’s gone now that’s nice

Not a partner, not an associate, but someone who works with a firm. Could be a semi-retired partner, a nonpartner senior lawyer, or, sometimes, and academic who occasionally helps advise firm clients, among other things.

Trump will be the clear republican favorite again in 2024 if they don’t impeach.

This is an excellent post and I agree with pretty much all of it if you’re talking about Trump, Giulliani, Hawley, Lin, any of the other seditious senators, and anyone who entered the place armed with any weapon. But when you’re talking about a 60 year old grandma holding an American flag, or some putz walking around with his name tag ID of where he works on his shirt, I just can’t get behind throwing the book at them

Maybe @jwax13 is right and I don’t put enough weight into personal responsibility?

if convicted and they then pass to ban him I believe it is

#4 requires an additional vote.

Which one is the dead one?

Cain. Carson got pozzed, but has survived up to now at least.
