Cliffs: He was a community theater producer who apparently was doing really well, getting mentions in the NYT, etc, but the theater shut down because of finances and allegations of racism, sexism, etc
After the shut down, the guy quickly inculcated himself into the conservative entertainment complex complex in a matter of months, joining the Log Cabin Republicans, getting pics with conservative celebs and then eventually at the rally
And also for the billionth time, nothing anyone says on this forum matters. I’m an Anarchist for fuck’s sake. No one is listening to me. The Dems, the one’s with the E, who always vote for more cops and more military and fall in love with every serious man father figure Robert Mueller they lay their eyes on will be the ones deciding what happens here. And they don’t listen to me.
I know i said id stop but…i wonder how many people would be charged with treason and sedition already if it was BLM who did this. Hundreds? All of them who were not shot?

As it seems the more visible of them are only going to get a slap on the hand this is only going to go one way. I don’t think most people realise how close this was to being game over, 20 or 30 competent, well armed, with a plan, ‘insurgents’ away from being game over.
I wonder how most of the “charge them with treason” people feel about this. @bobman0330?
The thing is though, if you are BLM/antifa and you want to storm the capital and overthrow the US government, is it really in your best interest if the state prosecute masses of these people for treason?
If BLM stormed the capitol and forced the congress to evacuate when they were certifying the legitimate victory of DJT in an alternate universe where he won, yeah I’d be all for extremely serious charges.

Fwiw, I agree with you on this, but I don’t have a good idea for what an appropriate response is to an attempt at a literal armed takeover of our government with the intent to install/perpetuate a fascist regime that opposes all the social and democratic values which we all support and you have marched for and risked injury and jail yourself to maintain. What are your thoughts?
Based on what happened in Germany what sorta works is a generation or more with a strong social welfare system and a mix of retribution/justice and allowing much of the complicit to move on with a relatively honest and hard look at what was done.
