I’m not denying that there are white supremacists in the police force and certainly not that there’s severe racial bias in policing, I’m just suggesting that the causal factors here were much more specific than general racial attitudes.

I’m not really that big on OMG TREASON! - OMG SEDITION! - I mean you can make a pretty good argument that Chelsea Manning committed treason. Fuck that. The omg part is that these people, including Trump, are white supremacists/nationalists/fascists.
You can be damn sure I don’t feel the same way about someone who tries to break into government property to stop caging children as I do about someone who does it to try to cage more children.
I’ll take Trump in prison, but the real charge should be crimes against humanity.

I’m mostly with you but I have zero problem charging literally everyone who entered the capitol with sedition. Let them plead out to two years in federal prison. Need to make an example of these people to deter this in the future.
