The police can absolutely be culpable and they are!! for letting people get that far and also be justified in shooting that woman.
If you recognize that the first part is “Defund the police… because they are tools of white supremacy and fascism as proven by American history, up to and including through January 6, 2021” then all of a sudden it doesn’t seem so crazy but I’m sure you already knew that…

Can’t shoot them until they actually take hostages though. And then you can’t shoot them because they have hostages.
Or are cops supposed to look for zip tie cuffs first, then it’s ok to shoot? And must be male apparently.

A US Capitol Police officer has died from events stemming from Wednesday’s riot at the Capitol, three sources confirmed to CNN.
The police officer is now the fifth person to die as a result of the day’s violence. One woman was shot and killed by Capitol Police as the crowd breached the building and three others suffered medical emergencies that proved fatal.
