Yeah pharmacies were already high on my list of places to never ever go… if they started testing people inside that would be a massive multiplier on something that was already a HUGE nope.
I hope whomever the next president is after trump bans that Trump Gold Color from being used for any reason ever again.

What happens if dems just say fuck it we will give ourselves the stimulus by refusing to pay federal taxes and keeping the money we normally send to subsidize redstates.

Well, it’s not the states that pay the taxes. Tax payers(i.e., State Residents) pay the tax to the federal govt directly. There is not a practical way for the states to siphon that money off that I can think of.
I could be wrong, I really haven’t done a deep dive into the issue.

The only thing I can think for blue states to do is re-write their taxes in response to the Trump tax cut fuckery of capping the state and local tax deduction at 10k. I’m not even sure how they would do this but I’m sure it is possible.
Didn’t New York try and propose this and say people’s SALT were actually donations and therefore the $10k SALT cap didn’t apply? Maybe I’m misremembering.
Even these types of strategies don’t seem to work. All they do is reduce the amount individuals would have to pay in federal income taxes. That savings would stay with the individual and it would not go to the state, unless the state raised it’s tax (or donation, if that’s what they decide to turn it into) rate. Presumably states wouldn’t want to do this for many reasons.
Even if they did something like above that actually worked, I assume there would be legal challenges for years. So, it’s not something that would provide immediate help.
Everything is blackmail with this guy.
