I mean, it’s basic journalism that you don’t run a story until you can confirm what’s in it. Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman spent like half the movie trying to back up what Deep Throat told them. I get that it’s hard to do any kind of reporting from NK, but I don’t think that’s a license to start printing unconfirmed rumors.
Yep. I think there remains a possibility that he is deceased, but the US does not want to be the one to put that on the record for diplomatic reasons. Maybe that’s where the discrepancy lies. Time will tell.
Crazy part is if he’s dead and the US knows it, Trump hasn’t been told. So we could very well be at the point where the POTUS isn’t told important news because he’s a fucking moron that can’t keep his mouth shut for the sake of national security.
It is funny that trump deleted all his “noble” tweets. Seeing them laid out again you realize how crazy his whole back pedal was. He references a “Noble Committee” twice. Which would be super odd given he was claiming he meant the virtue of being noble.
I don’t understand how this guy has negotiated his way through life. Schizophrenic homeless people are absolutely more sensible than Trump.
No thank you
Whatever happened to Tillersons(?) book or whoever way in the days of impeachment didn’t testify. I really can’t remember the details.
Anyone remember when Mattis’s book came out? I remember him being interviewed by the executive editor of The Atlantic. When the obvious thing comes up, that thing being “What’s the deal with Trump?” he artfully dodged it by saying something to the tune of “It is not the right time for me to answer.” Okay, General. Could you at least answer before November? I think we deserve as much.
John Bolton book, maybe?
And wow did Bolton sure fuck up his payday big time… I guess he’s trying to find a way back in the side door with his pal Pompeo to get his lifetime wish.
The Bolton book is currently scheduled to be released in mid May, but given that (a) it was already pushed back once because the WH was slow walking the national security review and (b) we may still be in the midst of the 24/7 Covid news cycle, I wouldn’t be shocked if the publication date slips again. (Otoh, the publisher might figure that they’ve already missed out on the grift circuit, so might as well just rip off the bandaid and publish it while bored libs are still quarantined and might be looking for a hate read…)
Who the fuck is going to buy John Bolton’s book? He already pissed off the right wing griftosphere that usually fraudulently props these things up. No libs are buying it. Nobody cares.
The most useless question to ever ask Donald Trump:
“Do you take any responsibility…?”
It’s more a matter of getting it on record.
The people asking know the answer.
I realize that. But then even getting it on record ends up mattering nil so…
well do you ever take for him is always yes, so if he doesn’t hear the last word right he might slip up.
