I claimed that it was on the list because of huge unfunded liabilities over the next 50 years. You’re saying that it didn’t deserve to be on the list today or in the past. I agree with that.
I suspect that the state is going to require massive federally funded climate change mitigation over the next 50 years to the tune of probably trillions of dollars. That’s what I’m basing it on.
Seriously I move like a million dollars a year worth of freight into and out of FL. I’m well aware that it has a large economy.
It’s also the state I had to think really hard about. GA was the next most borderline. I definitely think FL/GA could become one country and be semi viable by themselves. Lord knows they couldn’t support the other states, but they could probably stand up on their own.
Yeah that I totally get. And it’s a different situation for sure lol. I actually like the idea of FL/GA being one country a lot as I think about it. GA brings Atlanta and legit agriculture, and FL brings tourism and agriculture. You’ve got the makings of a real country there.
The climate picture for FL is pretty goddamn dire though.
If the justices approach the California case with the same wholly legal approach they took in the Maine Community case, this latest attack on Obamacare will also be rejected by a lopsided vote.
I am surprised they have not just banned everyone but OAN from attending. What has prevented them from doing that. I assume Trump brings it up regularly.
lol, no way in hell these craven whores do anything but jump through whatever hoops Trump tell them to jump through in order to get access. Media outlets should have all stopped attending his media events back when Sean Spicecock was yelling lies at them. They won’t do that because they’re afraid viewers will switch to Fox or OAN. It’s 2020 and Trump is telling people to inject themselves with bleach and MSNBC is only now flirting with the idea of not covering Trump’s daily garbage fires. How’s your book coming, Maggie?
The entire cable news industry just needs a complete overhaul and remedial journalism classes. These Trump pressers aren’t “news” in any meaningful sense. Go cover Gov. DeWine / Dr. Amy Acton’s daily COVID-19 briefings, that’s actual stuff that can inform your viewers. I mean, look at Katy Tur telling everyone that Kim Jong-Un is dead based on the strength of two (2) unnamed sources and now no one knows wtf is going on. Katharine Graham would have thrown you out a window for pulling a stunt like that.
Maybe don’t run a bombshell story on the basis of two unconfirmed, anonymous sources. I’d like at least some kind of context as to who these unnamed officials are and how they know what they know.
I mean, here’s CNN’s Jim Sciutto: “I’m told by a U.S. official with direct knowledge that the U.S. is monitoring intelligence that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is in grave danger following a surgery.”
Someone with DIRECT KNOWLEDGE says the US is following these rumors about Kim’s health. Well, no shit. If you read it carefully, it doesn’t actually say anything we didn’t already know, it does nothing but feed the rumor mill.
I already read Katy’s book, it was kind of meh. Apparently Trump is hot for her, which is not much of a surprise.
The sources may be anonymous to us. I doubt they are anonymous to her. And its going to be unconfirmed before its confirmed isn’t it?
I’m just saying this is a weird situation given the secrecy of North Korea. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if we find out he’s dead and has been for a week. If so, then her report would not be untrue.
We can have a very good guess at the source for her sources, the Japanese magazine that other places have reported. Her story was probably the same as what Sciutto said, that they are aware of the rumours and monitoring them, just she wanted to spice it up.
