Donât know how anybody thinks this is the peak in America. There are plenty of parts of America that have barely been infected and are acting like itâs not even a thing. Even after itâs done where it is now, itâs going to spread to parts of America where it hasnât been yet. Youâd have to essentially close state borders to do anything to prevent that and even then itâs no guarantee.
Maybe it slows up due solely to the lower population density of newly infected areas but their lack of adequate medical care compared to cities is going to lead to a higher CFR.

Agreed. There are a lot of problematic issues in this country as we progress. Say eventually New York moves past it before most other US areas. They then become a target for people to visit as âsafeâ but means infected people will also be going there. Likely kicking off another cycle.
We need massive testing and tracing everywhere to actually get a control of it before we get a vaccine or real effective treatment. Otherwise we are going to torture ourselves with non stop premature cycling of the virus.
The only reason we have seen even minor mitigation is because the minimal measures have helped slow the spread. Opening things back up just returns everything to full throttle. Not sure how people expect anything but a disaster from opening things up with out massive testing and tracing.

I donât know, but it would be the least shocking news of all time. This fuckhead wanted to add rates, like if France has a 2% death rate and Germany has a 3% death rate then âFrermanyâ has a 5% death rate or something. All the way up till we get up to the population of the US, to make USA #1 look great again.
He really doesnât Wookiee and others have tried to explain rate to him fifty times.
He doesnât understand that closing the borders with China is meaningless as if we just got one case here it would eventually grow to full blown pandemic. That being said this is the toolbox of most republicans and Trump supporters. They are rarely educated or informed on anything, will never admit when they might be ignorant about something, and straight parrot TrumpFox propoganda.
I love when I hear trump say something or Fox News spew something and you know right then that point will be repeated by a million dunderheads in an attempt to sound informed about whatever subject.
It is one of the reasons debating right wingers/ trump supporters is a waste of time. They could literally be replaced by a simplistic chat bot that is fed data from trump tweets and press conferences and Fox News. I think anyone with any critical thinking skills have abandoned the party and the support of Trump.

Pretty sure there is a 1:1 correlation whether a person has ever hosted a Walrus and whether they have empathy. Jury still out on people who host but do not finish a Walrus.

I mean, Iâm tempted to open a new account just to explain that there is one exponential function, e^kx, and literally all that matters for the growth rate is k. But itâs such a pain in the fucking ass.
I tried to explain it to someone once using the if I gave you a penny everyday and doubled it for a month scenario. They literally could not understand what the answer was at the end, even after explaining it out the long way to them. Some people just canât maths.

I suck at math, and I managed to understand exponential growth with the doubled penny example from a childrenâs book when I was like 8.
Just make them do it themselves with a calculator. 0.01x2, hit the equals button 30 times.
