Trump consolidating the Nader Dirtbag vote

I mean, if you’ve devoted your life to racial issues, I can’t blame you even a little bit for voting third party. Between criminal justice and Anita Hill, to say nothing of trying to slash entitlements, Joe Biden ain’t your friend.

Have you listened to what they have to say about it? From what I understood, many black voters see Biden as a known quantity, who - in a society where most people are racist to a certain degree - had no qualms serving a black president in a clearly inferior role. That is not at all an explanation, as it’s impossible to simplify a preference in these terms only, but it definitely counts form something significant in their eyes (again, from what I understood).

I liked this episode of The Daily where they interviewed voters in the South on why they will vote for Biden. This is from wayyyyyy back on Feb 28 when Corona was a vague threat and Biden’s only hope was to crush the Southern primaries.

Former vice president Joseph R. Biden Jr. was once a clear front-runner in the race for the Democratic nomination. Now, he is fighting back from a string of losses and staking his candidacy on his ability to win tomorrow’s South Carolina primary, the first in a state with a large black population. But will he win, and if the margin isn’t as decisive as he hopes, can he stay in the race? Guest: Astead W. Herndon, who covers national politics for The New York Times traveled to South Carolina with Clare Toeniskoetter and Annie Brown, producers on “The Daily.”

Background reading: A new poll showed Mr. Biden with a wide lead in South Carolina, with Senator Bernie Sanders and hedge fund billionaire Tom Steyer trailing behind.Mr. Biden lashed out after reports that Mr, Sanders considered mounting a primary challenge to President Barack Obama in 2012, saying it was “one of the reasons I resent Bernie.”Churches have long played the primary role in mobilizing black support in South Carolina. So how are candidates faring among congregations?

It’s generally accepted to point out that Republicans operate like an apocalyptic death cult. It’s time to internalize that many dems are the same way and that it’d be infantilizing to exclude black dems.
