I won’t quote 87 tweet tweet thread Abramson but it does make a good point. Of course it only sits if you agree with inaction on sending the articles of impeachment to the senate.
The media is infiltrating themselves into the middle of it and pushing things in a direction that is best for them, a senate trial which gets them ratings.

Because defense spending is considered “must pass” legislation, so the defense bill is where you shoehorn in a bunch of other random goodies that probably wouldn’t pass on their own (or are “too small” to break into their own bills)
