That YUGE Kentucky representative race had a total of 8000 votes between the Democrat and Republican.
“White had 4,750 votes to beat Democrat Bill Redwine who received 3,731 votes in the special election.”
Can’t imagine why I didn’t get an alert from Wash Post when I woke up with this exciting breaking news.
Also, the seat is up for reelection in November.

One of the persistent fears that people have is what the next “competent Trump” will look like now that the precedent has been set that the Republicans can more or less ignore the law. If people want to know what a more competent Trump looks like, Modi would be a good person to examine. His whole political identity is built around us vs. them identify politics (Hindi vs. Muslim) and he’s willing to use violence to prop up his side and trample the other side. He definitely fits into the bucket of “strongmen that Trump wishes he could be like”.
They NYer also had a great write-up on him and all the dangers he presents to Muslims.
