I’m looking at one of those sites. It’s pretty well-disguised. A couple tip-offs that it’s fake by just perusing the front page:

There’s no real masthead. The name of the paper is just in a generic font at the top of the page. In fact, the entire page looks like it was just made from a stock template.

Most of the articles have to do with studies or statistics. Nothing that’s an actual local news or local interest piece. Everything could be researched and written by someone who knows nothing of the city or region.

Also lest anyone fall for any of the Milken propaganda, there is a fantastic book documenting his criminal scumbaggery in great detail - Den of Thieves. It’s a great, easy read. In basically every case these mega rich finance bro scumbags turn out to be luckbox coin flippers or straight up criminals. The “good” ones are merely terrible people.
