Is there any evidence that these obviously insincere boilerplate endorsements have any impact?
Since Trump is so unpopular it seems like it might be more likely to actually move independent/undecided voters away from you.
I think he does it so he can take credit for their victories.
I mean those people he pointed out are pretty likely to win anyway.

I like how Trump posts the bullshit tweets about Parkland and follows it up endorsing a candidate, partially for being pro-2nd amendment.

And by the way, Trump doesn’t defend Bernie because he wants to run against him. He only does it to criticize Democrats as as whole and try to get people to side-eye the party. He’s just agitating.
