Trump is more popular than ever. I’ve never felt more WAAF. I’m close to switching to advising my politically active daughter to move to France (she likes France and speaks French) instead of trying to keep her near home.

It’s more like Barr keeps pushing new people out of the safari truck for the leopards to eat. No one would notice, except the leopard keeps shouting “THANK YOU FOR PUSHING THAT INNOCENT PERSON INTO MY MOUTH YUM YUM”

France is still in riot mode and it’s not letting up, news still not covering most of it.

That big drop in popularity’s what’s supposed to happen when a President is obviously corrupt and committing crimes daily, not a steady ~40% for years. Trump’s last big spike in approval came right around the time he was impeached ffs.

Here’s what micro said:

“Trump is more popular than ever”

I posted something proving that is objectively false, filled with skewed right wing polls that have no basis in reality (his real number is probably 41.something). His base is and always will be 41% minimum, just like it was the day of the 2016 election. His popularity hasn’t moved up or down in any major measure in a long time, because it’s already near the floor, and not far from the ceiling. He’s been normalized, and no one has any clue about the ramifications of all that’s gone on in the last week.

But if you really want to be scared check out this blurb:

66% of voters believe Trump will be reelected in November compared to 28% who believe he’ll lose to a Democrat. 65% of voters say they are optimistic about the 2020 presidential election, while 30% are pessimistic. (Monmouth University Polling Institute)

If Bill Barr has been improperly influenced by the President’s tweets, the House Judiciary Committee will be there to hold his feet to the fire.
