The Presidency of Donald J. Trump, Episode VI: No Witnesses, One Defector, No Checks or Balances

I am the dishwasher. Having a dishwasher is a fantasy. Fantasy is great.

That’s okay. Whatever makes 2020 a year to remember for Trump.

I have a feeling most of us are living in a fantasy land in regard to how bad things will get before they improve.

Of all of them, I think I hate Bill Barr the most. Heavy competition, obviously, and I think my #2 is Betsy DeVos, but I absolutely rage just as seeing that guys name. Bonus rage points for the media still treating him like a normal attorney general.

If “all of them” includes McConnell, he’s my #1, with Barr at #2.

Yup. Always rinse dishes off before going in dishwasher. Old dishwasher, new dishwasher? Doesn’t matter dishes end up demonstrably cleaner that way.

I like the ring of impeached convicted murderer.

The light in my 600 W microwave oven dims and the fan slows if I try to toast bread. If I try to wash dishes in that thing in I’ll be going out in the cold to reset a breaker.

Congrats on being the first person to pay attention to the wattage of their microwave

Watt?

Agree. To me, Putin’s reflection evokes how pathetic (but useful) he finds Trump’s desperation

Ty, all credit to @Devil for top-notch idea.

It’s a good thing Putin’s hands weren’t in the shot or I would have had to shrink them down to a plausible size.

Just a headsup on dishwashers!

Old dishwashers used to have a food disposer type system and you could put dishes with food in there and it would just chew through the stuff. We had one about 15 years ago that I couldn’t believe how well it worked. I kept testing it with more and more stuff on dishes and it never failed.

In recent years most manufacturers have begun making really quiet dishwashers. The food disposers were loud, and I’m guessing that most modern homes have some type of open floor plan so the noise became a problem.

Regardless, our newer (7 year old) dishwasher without the food disposer does really good work. Actually, our last 3 or 4 dishwashers were whirlpool and I haven’t found a reason to switch.

Also, one other thing - I think the Obama administration forced removal of phosphates from dishwasher detergent and that also contributes to dishwashers not doing as good a job.
