Going around vilifying them for past statements like the stuff that tweeter posted is wholly counterproductive. I don’t want them hanging out with me during pub trivia or fucking my sister, but I’d also rather not just give them nowhere to go but Trump/GOP. That’s exactly why so many on the right who don’t like Trump won’t say or do anything; for them, there’s no upside.
