I’ve long assumed we collectively over estimate the elites, that they’re short sighted and ultimately dumb to push things so far into depravity and lawlessness and inequality and widespread desperation. That the backlash and/or inevitable economic collapse will hit them hard and erase their temporary gains.
Now I’m thinking they are much smarter than we give them credit for, just with an almost unimaginable amount of sociopathy. That they’re going to get away with it, that they’re only going to get stronger when the shit hits the fan by virtue of simply not giving a fuck about other human beings.
